I learned how
to ride motorcycles at the age of 8. My older
brother Ryan, taught me on a 1984 Honda XR 80.
Eventually I broke the frame in half on that bike and
moved on to a 1986 Kawasaki KX 80. At the age of
11 I started racing the 80 Beginner class on that bike.
From the age of 11 to 17 I made my way through each
class in the 80cc and 125cc amateur classes. I won
many championships and races throughout my amateur
career. When I was at the top of the Intermediate class
I felt it was time to move on. So at age 17 I
turned Pro. Since that point I experienced many
high points and a few low points.
Riding and
racing is in my blood and I hope to do it for a long
time. I don’t think there is anything more
exciting or fun than riding a motorcycle. I enjoy
the people involved in the sport. This is why I
decided to start teaching and training people in 2003.
It is very satisfying and rewarding to see kids and
adults improve their skills because of what I teach
them.
I grew up in Lynden, WA and still reside there. I
was raised on a dairy farm out in the county. My
family converted it to a Raspberry, Blueberry and Black
Currant Farm in the late 90’s. I currently help my
dad operate the berry business today. It is at
this property that I have my own riding track. It
is on nearly two acres with lap times around two
minutes. It offers wide open areas as well as
tight technical sections. I have designed it to be
fun and challenging for all riding levels.
